Primitive

In some places, nature reveals all her strength. This work is part of an ongoing project: these pictures have been taken in the Dolomites around Cortina d’Ampezzo, where I’ve been trekking for years in silent contemplation, going through a primaeval landscape where natural forces have been at work on rocks for millions of years. As light dances on their surface, stones formations, peaks, walls reveal to me both sensuality and strength. It is as if in these ancient megalithic rocks, I could find the memory of something giving me a feeling of bliss, balance, energy.

Black and white helps to carve out the essence of the primitive elemental forces that shape nature.
